Distance Prelicensing Education Providers
This page lists only those education providers approved to offer DISTANCE Prelicensing courses. Per Commission rule 58H .0101(4) : "Distance education" means a method of instruction accomplished through the use of media whereby teacher and student are separated by distance and time.
In other words, distance courses are online, self-paced courses.
To search for Prelicensing courses that are delivered in-person or via synchronous distance learning (aka, “live-online delivery using technologies such as Zoom or RECampusLive!) go to the Search Prelicensing Course Schedules page.
- Per N.C.G.S. § 93A-4(a), individuals must successfully complete the 75-hour Broker Prelicensing Course prior to applying for an NC broker license. For more information about licensing requirements, including criteria for waiver of some requirements, visit the Apply for a License page on the Commission’s website.
